Bugalugz is committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our website, and submit enquiries through forms on our website, as well as those who subscribe to our email communications. Here you’ll find information on how we treat the data we collect. Any information we collect is held in strict confidence and we have a company Data Privacy Policy in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.

This privacy policy has been written to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) is being used online. What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website? In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Yes. Here at Bugalugz, we use automatically collected information and other information collected through cookies and similar technologies. To whom do we disclose information?
We work with third-party service providers who provide website, application development, hosting, maintenance, digital marketing services and other services for us. These third parties may have access to, or process Personal Data or Client Data as part of providing those services for us. We limit the information provided to these service providers where possible, to that which is reasonably necessary for them to perform their functions, and we require them to maintain the confidentiality of such information.

We use a number of systems for conducting business at Bugalugz. Shopify is used as an ecommerce tool; Campaign Monitor is used to send out our email and marketing communications.  Go Sweet Spot is our shipping and tracking tool. Returns are handled by AfterShip Returns Center.

We may also release information when its release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety.

Non-personally identifiable visitor information will not be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses, unless authorised by yourself.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.

Fair Information Practices
The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. The GDPR is an EU Regulation now in force since 25 May 2018, which will replace the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive (DPD) to significantly enhance the protection of the personal data of EU citizens and increase the obligations on organisations who collect or process personal data.  If at any point you believe the information, we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information, and have it corrected or permanently deleted from our databases. The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

  • Process orders and to send information and updates pertaining to orders.
